Under the Prosperous Trade Partnership Initiative, China has announced a unilateral expansion of market access, granting 100% tariff-free treatment to all 43 least developed countries (LDCs) with which it has diplomatic relations, encompassing 33 African nations, out of a global total of 45 LDCs (excluding Haiti and Tuvalu due to non-diplomatic ties). This measure aims to transform China's market into avenues of development for Africa, deepening China's long-standing commitment to supporting the continent's economic growth. It builds upon the partial tariff exemption policy initiated in 2005, which has progressively expanded its scope.

Within the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), China-Africa relations continue to flourish, with 55 members (China, 53 African nations, and the African Union Commission) jointly striving for modernization and the construction of a shared future for all. The upcoming FOCAC Summit will concentrate on pivotal issues such as governance, industrialization and agricultural modernization, peace and security, as well as high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Remarkably, China-Africa trade volume reached 1.19 trillion yuan in the first seven months of this year, setting a new record high, with notable growth in agricultural imports, signifying the strengthening of bilateral economic ties.
